2. Checking Device Authenticity

When unboxing your Ledger device, make sure the packaging is intact and free from tampering. Ledger devices use a built-in cryptographic verification system that confirms authenticity when connected to Ledger Live. This ensures that your wallet’s secure element has not been compromised.

3. Installing Ledger Live

Ledger Live is the official software that connects your device to your desktop or mobile device. It provides portfolio visibility, firmware updates, and account creation.
